KUBE has elevator access to all floors.
In Jugendstilsenteret, there is access to all floors via a separate entrance at the back of the building and a stairlift for wheelchairs. The stairlift must be operated by one of our ushers; please contact us at the reception, and we will assist you.
Please note that parts of the Jugendstilsenteret are difficult to access due to high door thresholds.
Due to narrow passages and high door frames in the pharmacy interior, it is not possible to enter the main entrance of Jugendstilsenteret with a wheelchair.
Visitors with guide dogs are welcome, and we accept companion passes. There are accessible toilets in both buildings.
You will find a handicap parking spot at the back of Jugendstilsenteret. There is a bus stop right across the street from the museum.

Jugendstilsenteret (The Art Nouveau Centre) and KUBE is a museum showcasing art, architecture and design from the 19th century until today. The art museum develops and contains a collection that focuses especially on the Norwegian and Nordic art nouveau style and art with a connection to the region. The art museum aims to be a sustainable platform for democratic values and diversity by promoting free artistic expressions, sharing of knowledge and critical reflection.
As the art museum in Møre and Romsdal we have a special responsibility to open us to the world and open the world to us. This ties in with our mission as a national centre of competence for the art nouveau style. In our two buildings we share an interest for, and information about, art, architecture and design through a varied program to our visitors.
Jugendstilsenteret is located in “Apotekergården”, a building in the art nouveau style which was completed in 1907 and at that time served as both an apothecary and a place of residence. Today you may experience the art nouveau style in this building, through authentic interior as well as permanent exhibitions with art nouveau style objects and temporary exhibitions.
KUBE is located in the “Noregs Bank” building which dates back to 1906, and was rebuilt in 2005 to accommodate the art museum. During the course of a year, KUBE has several temporary exhibitions. You can experience everything from large thematic presentations to exhibitions by individual artists.
Jugendstilsenteret and KUBE seeks to offer its visitors a broad insight into the themes we address through our exhibitions. Throughout the year we have an active outreach program with open tours, presentations, concerts and other events.
